Ordering Process
Step 1.
Evaluation - Determining the Right Wheelchair for You
- Time: 2 days
- Intake: Once you or a member of your medical team reaches out to us, we will be in contact within 24 hours to confirm basic information, verify insurance coverage, and get you started with necessary paperwork.
- Scheduling a Visit: Within 48 hours of intake, we will schedule your evaluation visit.
- Initial Evaluation: An Aspire Mobility Assistive Technology Professional (ATP), in tandem with your therapy team, will visit you at your residence, or place of care, to evaluate your environment and mobility needs.
Please allow up to 2 hours for the on-site evaluation.
Step 2.
Funding - Securing Approval for Your Wheelchair
- Time: 2-8 weeks
- Wheelchair Quote: Based on the evaluation, we will work with several manufacturers to obtain quotes for your wheelchair and its parts. Depending on the manufacturer, this may take 1-3 business days.
- Physician Approval: After receipt of quotes, we will compile all medical documentation based on your insurance's guidelines and submit for approval to your physician.
- Insurance Authorization: Once approved by your physician, we will submit for authorization from your insurance. If any additional information is requested, Aspire Mobility will work through all questions until we have final authorization.
Step 3.
Delivery - Bringing Mobility to Your Doorstep
- Time: 1-4 Weeks
- Wheelchair Order & Co-pay: Once insurance authorization has been approved, we will contact you for any payment that may be patient responsibility. Once payment arrangements have been approved we will order your equipment.
- Wheelchair Configuration: Once the wheelchair and its parts have been received, everything is assembled to become your own custom wheelchair. Depending on the complexity of the wheelchair, this may take 1-3 business days.
- Scheduling Delivery: Once configured, we will contact you within 24 hours to schedule for delivery within the next 3-6 business days.
- Day of Delivery: At delivery, we will ensure that your wheelchair fits properly and provide training on proper use. All necessary signatures will be obtained and any patient responsibility payments will be collected. Aspire Mobility will bill your insurance for the remaining portion.
Step 4.
Support - Keeping You Moving for Life
- Lifelong Partner: You are now a part of the Aspire Mobility family and our commitment to you and your wheelchair lasts a lifetime.
We will call after 30 days of delivery to ensure everything is working as intended followed by annual check-ins to make sure you are staying up to date on your maintenance.
